Euro Jeep Camp 2006



Umag Croatia 2006 , a wonderfull experience again. 25 JEEPS from Belgium
and an other 650 from all over Europe.

Due to the fact that so many people have a digital camera today, lots and lots of pictures are made about this event and put on homepages and other sites.

We our selves took a slow drive down to Croatia staying overnight in Germany and the second night in Velden - Austria. We expected heavy traffic but its was very early in the season so we did not have any problems.


The location at Umag was much better than last year in France. Hotels and Camping very close to the JEEP - Village.
The trips were not as spectacular as in Austria in 2004 but very nice, following an old railroad through tunnels and bridges.
The whole set up was again very wel organised. The Belgian Team managed to get a third place in the Jeep Challenge.
Which consisted of biking, swimming, running and crossing and a monkey bridge to get complete a ticket with 4 stamps which had to be traded for parts to finisch obstacles alone the track on which we had to pull a Wrangelr form start to finsh

New item this year: horse back riding, and yes that's me. It has been years ago.


We took the Grand again this year because of the distance to Umag. Thanks to Luc Frijters form Turnhout Dealership who with stubborn relentless finally managed to fix the engine problem we had with the Grand. Thanks Luc.

We even had time to spend on the rocky beaches of Umag and in the old town:
