 How it started: Maarten van Eijck is garage proprietor and former Paris-Dakar driver, member of the board of the KNAF (Koninklijke Nederlandse Autosport Federatie). Together with Martin van de Heuvel and a few fellow trial riders they suggested to form the Promo-Klasse to bring new life to 4x4 racing. The promo-klasse is a first-step "klasse" which makes it possible with not to many modifications to cars and a small budget to enjoy racing.
